25 Anniversary/Vow Renewal

My hubby and I are renewing our vows on our 25th anniversary this year and I`m torn as to which kind of party to have. I`d like to have a very nice but simple party at our home very much like a home wedding. I`m only inviting family and a couple of close friends. My family has a lot of little kids so planning a simple sit down type dinner with china, silver etc may not work well with the little kids. I want the kids to be there and I want their parents to have fun. I`m torn as to if I should have the nice china theme or go with something more casual. We`re taking a nice long cruise so I was thinking I could do a beach theme or something along that line and ask everyone to wear their favorite cruise wear. Plus my family is not the real dress up type people. But my real wedding was so small and cheap, so I kinda wanted something nice? Any ideas?

I would suggest a semi-formal anniversary party. Just set-up a buffet table and have a place for your vow renewal ceremony, a dance floor and a place for kids to play. It`s nice to dress up sometimes - so make it formal but semi.
