50`s Themed Prom

Hiya this year the theme for my school`s prom is 1950`s Rock `n` Roll and we need ideas for what sort of decorations we could have. So far we have thought of a checkered dance floor and a diner setting for the stage where the band will be but other than that we dont have many ideas so would really appreciate it if you could help us out.

Hey! sorry i wish i had seen this earlier because im actually doing an assignment on a 1950`s rock and roll prom!! i thought of having large records handing around, a jukebox little sunglasses as a naptin holder rock n roll confetti and inflatable instruments!! anyway i hope your prom was awsome, if u had anyother ideas plz tell me!!
