Horrible Customer Service

I recently gotten married and went through David`s Bridal hoping for an experience of a lifetime. I received great service when I purchased my dress but when my bridemaids went in to try on dresses they received the worst customer service. They were not greeted or asked if they wanted help they had to find someone to help them and even then they did not receive the attention they needed to make a purchase. I had bridesmaids from different areas and one girl went into the David`s Bridal in DE and needed help finding the dress. The store only had that dress in one size and it was not hers. She asked the woman if there was any way to locate the dress somewhere else since the dress had become discontinued. The woman told her "I guess you could call other stores but there is nothing I can do to help you." Commenting that she should not have waited to buy her dress or I should have picked out a different dress. When I picked out the dress I was not informed that the dress would be discontinued or I would have chosen a different dress to avoid a problem like this. When my bridesmaid asked her if she could help her locate some stores and phone numbers the woman told her that she did not have access to do that. I find that hard to believe with David`s Bridal being a national company. Although I did not spend the money in that store i did make many high purchases with David`s Bridal at another location and I did not except a company to treat their customers that way whether they were a bride or a bridesmaid. I also work in retail and would not dream of telling a customer they would have to solve the problem on their own. Upon hearing of her experience I contacted customer service to inform them of the service that my wedding party was receiving. I was told that it would be taken care, but when my flower girls went in to buy there dresses they received the same service. After my wedding was over I needed to get my dress preserved. I contacted my local David`s Bridal to find out what I needed to do. I asked if I needed to have my dress cleaned and I was told yes. I was also told to bring my dress in when I got it back from the cleaners and they would have it preserved. I did what I was told and come to find out I did not need to bring my dress in after all. I had to mail my dress off myself to their preservation company and to top things off when I get home and read the instructions on how to mail it in, it says that we clean and preserve your dress for you. So I wasted a $100 dollars to have my dress cleaned and then another $100 to have it preserved. I feel that this mistake was on the fact that they did not want to take the time to explain the process to me when I called. I would not recommend David`s Bridal to anyone. I believe the business has become more involved in making money than actually caring about their customers and when it comes to a wedding the bride deserves the best customer service there is to offer and they just don`t have that.

I had horrible treatment at David`s Bridal too, except I am the bride. When I tried on a couple of dresses the lady that helped me rushed me and was complaining about another bride in the store trying on too many dresses. I was so shocked but I was desperate to find a dress because my wedding was in three months. So I picked one that I really didn`t want but I could deal with. When my dress came back 4 weeks later it was the wrong size. I was so devastated. The ladies that were working just stood around in a circle whispering. Then the assistant manager came up to me and said "We are so sorry, Do you want to try on something else or we can order your dress and get it back in 2 weeks. Well seeing that I didn`t want the first dress any ways, I tried on a couple of dresses the same price but couldn`t find one I liked. Then one of the ladies brought me a dress that was $200.00 more than the one I had., and I loved it. So I told them I would buy it off the rack since it was a fairly new gown, and they said we will take off $100.00 and clean and steam the dress. Besides I didn`t have much time to wait on another dress or even take any chances that it would be the wrong dress. So they told me to pick up my dress in 2 days. So I went to pick up my dress and they told me that it wasn`t ready and they were so sorry again. By then I was angry but I maintained myself because I know that no good would come from being upset. So I just asked them when would it be ready and they said in 1 hour. I left and came back the next day to pickup my dress and I finally got my dress. That was a horrible experience and everyone that is planning on getting married beware of the places you shop for a wedding gown, because David`s bridal gave me hell......... I should have made a complait and I still might with the District manager because they should hire people that care and respect their customers. If I spend my money I should get better treatment than that.
