House Of Brides
I recently ordered a wedding gown from House of Brides and needed to contact them about the shipping. I placed the order March 31, and have tried to get in contact with them since. I tried their phone number, email, and fax. Never did I get a return call or email. For a company that supposedly has been around for 77+ years, you would think they would have better customer skills. I tried calling the House of Brides in Glen Ellyn along with the 2 or 3 other ones around Chicago but all they could tell me was that they have nothing to do with the online part of the business...but, yes, they are the same company.
I finally got to speak to a "representative" this morning, and found out that it will take 14-16 weeks for me to receive my gown...my wedding is August 5. Gee, I wonder if I will get it in time. They have no cancellation on the gowns-no matter what! I was under the impression that once I placed the order I would recieve the gown within a month-not 16 weeks later! I recommend that people not go to this company but rather go on and spend the extra money that it may cost to go to your local wedding boutique. They will at least help you out and will most likely be able to help you with the whole shopping experience. In my opinion, HOB is nothing but a fruadulent company out to get your money!
