6th Grade Space Camp Fundraiser

Summit Academy North, Romulus, Michigan is looking for help for thier 6th grade Space Camp Program in 2 years. What we are looking for is a Rental Company to donate a canopy to be set-up in the Gym so that we can make our party for our younger children more exicting. We want to be able to see if a company can set up a canopy in a gym with out damaging the gym floor. We want to be able to hang lights, paper snowflakes, moons and stars. Our theme will have to do with space camp.

Our school has a tax exempt number and they also are a good place to advertise for their company. We also have a middle and high school.

I am a parent with all the other parents are wanting to send their child to Alabama NASA Space Camp - so we need to start fundraising now. The cost is approximately $800.00 per child to attend a 1 week course this was for this year. We tried to bring this event to our parents this year, but it didn`t work. Because of the cost and timing. We all were called to meet with the teacher in charge and had only one month to get together approximatly $400.00 by November 05. So needless to say it wasn`t able to happen, because our parents didn`t have enough time to fundraise or event save for this event. This is some reasons why we are trying to get a company to donate the canopy so that all profits are 100% split up between each child that will be attending SPACE CAMP. By the time 2 years pass the cost will be going up significately.

We are looking at these months December, January or February, we are leaning more towards January/February. Just because of how busy the month of December is during our other fundraisers and the holiday.

The children of Summit Academy North would be in such ah of your company that would do this for them. We had a Spring Fling Dance back in 03. But our gym has block walls so nothing will stick to them. The ceilings are so high we cannot hang anything. So this makes for a very drab event. I and several other parents headed this program up and now for 2 years all the children keep asking Mrs. Brady why are we not having another dance and when. Well they finally got to me. I and several other parents that have children int the 6th grade want to be able to attend SPACE CAMP would like to donate their time and efforts towards this wonderful fundraiser.
