Can You Help Us?
My name is Anita and on August 11th or 12th, 2007 I am marrying my fiancé Russell. I am writing to you for your help with making our wedding a special one. We are looking for anyone who would like to sponsor our wedding or would like to help us in any way by providing a reception hall, a wedding cake, or invitations, spa’s, etc.
The reason why I am asking for your help is because, we have been looking forward to this day all of our lives, and our dream is to have an elegant wedding. However, we are a young couple, and both have experienced recent tragedies in our lives with the passing of our mothers. With this being such a joyous time I would like to put the necessary steps together to ensure that we have the wedding of our dreams. However, it has not been easy. Russell has just got on his feet, and I started graduate school so money is extremely tight. I work two jobs and Russell is saving for college so we can improve our lives. We are looking for any assistance from anyone that is willing to help make this a very special day for us. Thank you for your time and consideration.

You may do better to contact local businesses in your area than to ask on such a large board. You might want to start by asking friends and family members for help. I know that when I got married that I didn`t have a lot of money but when I started talking to my friends and family I found a number of people who was more than happy to help. I didn`t come right out and ask for their help. I was simply talking about my wedding and what I still needed to find or get done. It turned that a friend {who I didn`t even know} of my cousin`s offered to take my photos because she was trying to get a wedding photo business off the ground and used copies of my wedding photos in her business as samples to show other brides what she could do. Another friend and her mother offered to do the food and an aunt made the cake {she since has started a cake business}. I could go on and on with this list but I think that you get the idea. There was something that didn`t get covered that way but I worked those out ~like the flowers, I contacted a local florist and ended up volunteering my time to help her in her shop for my flowers. Etc.... Anyway, I hope these helps and please remember that at the end of the day the only thing that will really matter is that you are married to the one who you will walk into the sunset with. You could have a simple wedding now and then on your 5th or 10th anniversy {sp?} have a huge, fancy wedding. Just an idea.

Thank for the information, I really do appreciate it. I have been contacting local businesses, but have not heard from any. Hopefully I do hear from someone.
