Help In Picking Colors

I`ve been trying to figure out colors for my wedding. This is my first actual wedding. I was common law married for 20 years. I like the colors blue, & lilac and even like a maroon or something along that line. I can`t decide..what would look good together. When we were looking at dresses..somehow everyone got the idea of light blue or sky blue. But, I don`t think that`s what I want. I want more color...more vibrant I think that pastels. Any ideas...
