Designing Chocolate Fountain For Reception

Is there anyone out there who is experienced in working with Chocolate Fountains? We are doing a Cinderella themed wedding and I need help as far as "what types of food" go good with them as well as decorating the trays and skewers. Also any ideas as to what to serve the (food or fruit) on would help too. :) Thanks!

Hi! Chocolate ftns. Are great! They are always a big hit with the guests!

In my experience, the most commonly served items with them are:
Strawberries, pineapple chunks, apple, melons, & sometimes bananas.

Lately, I have seen a few weddings where marshmellows and pretzels were also served.

Usually the fruit and marshmellows are served on long wooden skewers similar to toothpicks. The pretzels were in a bowl.

Hope this helps!

Hi,
We had a chocolate fountain for my daughter`s wedding. It was her main request and actually turned out to be the talk of the reception.
Most foods will work as long as they are not soft. This gets into the chocolate and can make a mess as well as clog up the fountain.
Good foods are fruits--like strawberries. Apples, etc, work well--just make sure they are cut into nice size pieces for dipping.
Marshmallows, vanilla wafers, sugar wafers, any non-crumbly cookie. Pretzels (preferrably non-salted) are also popular.
You may want to make a fruit tray and then have another one with assorted cookies, pretzels, marshmallows.
Don`t go too overboard. We purchased oodles and brought bags home. Adults tend to stick to the strawberries and the chidren also like those along with cookies and pretzels. Putting too many things makes a lot of waste. Especially with other foods and the cake being served.
