Br Mitzvah Hockey Centerpices
Hi. I am planning my son`s party and want to create hockey centerpieces. I`d like to have each table be a different NHL team. I`m interested in making the centerpieces with my son so that he is an active planner in the party. Any ideas?

Should you decide to have them done I would love to help I have done Baseball theme`s etc. And I (being a Hockey ) fan would take great pleasure in doing all the different Hockey Teams and perhaps the head table could have one with all the teams. I could even do great glass favors to match each table`s team.
Email me anytime I would love to help

Hi...
Why not get hockey sticks and put the logos from the different teams on them. Arrange those on a base with some pucks around it and you have a centerpiece.
Let me know if you need any other ideas

Jody,
I love that idea, but I haven`t been able to find any of the small wooden hockey sticks anywhere. Do you have any websites for me to check? Also, where do you get the bases to put them on? Thanks for your ideas and your help!

Debbie,
You can google youth hockey stickes.. I found some mini stickes through nhl.com Just not sure of the size on these.
Here are some websites I found:
Http://shop.nhl.com/sm-inglasco-chicago-blackhawks-mini-hockey-stick--pi-2120347.html
These mini stickes that already have the team logos on them seem to be made by Inglasco. I have not been able to find them but their Mini Sticks are coming up everywhere, and they seem to be running about $10.00 per piece.
As for a base... What I would suggest is a wooden base.. You would need to somehow either glue the sticks onto the base or create something that will hold them in place like a vice.
I would paint the base black or another color of your choice and then glue the pucks around. They have some really nifty colors that pucks come in so you can use the color theme of the team to help play along. I would not suggest buying pucks with logos on as you can probably make those on the computer w/ sticker paper and just slap your own sticker right on.
If you wanted to add something a bit more formal to that then behind the pucks you can add floral block and put in flowers that match and the sticks would be coming out of the middle. May not make much sense when I write it but try to visualize it.
Just shout if you have any more questions.

What a great site. I am also planning an ice hockey themed bar mitzvah and bough NHL hats that I am trying to use as centerpieces to label the tables. Any ideas on how to create these?
Thanks!

Check out these centerpieces. They`re the NJ Devils theme and every centerpices has an opposing team`s stick and hockey puck. Might be more work than you want, but they came out really neat.
