FUTURE MIL ISSUE

My fiance and I have been together for almost 10 yrs we have a 6 month old daughter. We currently both live at our parents and are getting married in either october of 2003 or january 2004. My future mil told us flat out that she will not be contributing towards the wedding that she thinks by him living in her house rent free is contribution enough.

Needless to say i was very upset by that. My parents are going to give $10,000.00 but now i want to know if it would be extremley rude of me to cut a portion (about 50 people) of my fiances relatives off my list? I am talking like 2nd cousins and 1st cousins. I just dont know if i am being ridiculous in thinking i can do that. Do you have any advice for me would be great thanks.

Char,
That may be a bit too harsh, and may cut the wound deeper, maybe even irrepairable. Your budget for your wedding is extremely high, so I would wait for the RSVPs to come flowing back to you. If you would like ideas as to how to have a less expensive wedding that is gorgeous, let me know.
Hope that helps.
