Wow....

I am so amazed at my luck! Imagine searching the web for necrotizing fasciitis (one of my patients has this) and finding a BOATLOAD of info on something that has plagued me for years. I am an intensive care unit nurse....very stressful. If I had a dime for every time I have heard "are you ok???" in the middle of doing CPR, I would never have to work again. Knowing the pathophys of the "fight or flight" adrenaline response helps. I can do the breathing techniques...not without looking REALLY sick though. You know, people are staring at you when you look like you are having an allergic reaction. I haven`t really tried any meds other than antihistamines. They have not helped, I only fall asleep. I`m going to talk to one of my docs about b-blockers for my upcoming wedding, so I`m keeping my fingers crossed that they will work. Anyone had any major side effects from these?? YES THERE ARE MAJOR SIDE EFFECTS!!!

To people buying drugs at online pharmacies....be very careful, especially if you don`t have a rx for them!!!!!!! I`ve seen people OD on meds bought online, and yes, you can get them without an rx.

Off of the soapbox though, It really comforts me to know that there are tons of people out there with my problem. I can identify with being insecure about how people perceive you when you have an "episode." I`m confident about who I am as a person and it really bugs me when I leave the impression that I am a nervous wreck...sometimes it happens for no reason at all. It sucks! People who know me well enough can read my emotion. How am I ever supposed to hide anything???? I also love the turtleneck posts....I started cracking up. I thought I was being original!! I only have 50 or so in my closet. Ha...you guys rock!! Thanks for all the great info!
