My wedding will also be in Dec 2007. Some ideas I have had, or have heard are:( if its a christmas/holiday theme)
give ornaments, christmas cookies, recipes, or candy canes as favors.
instead of having an empty gift table, set up a chrstmas tree and put the gifts under there.
use a tree skirt as a guest book
take fallen tree branches, paint the white or with fake snow, put in pots with cement, and decorate ( if you make many of these you can cover the bottoms/ floor to like snow). You can also highlight these with blue lights for a winter wonderland.
For the tables fill glass bowls or large martini glasses with ornaments in your colors.
Have holiday instumental music playing in the background during food service and cocktail hour.
If you are having a kids room have them make fun christmas ornaments, snowmen (if it snows) or pictures.
Serve hot cocoa and hot cider with christmassy cookies instead of/with punch.
Set up an area where guests can have holiday photos taken (maybe when they sign the guest book, i mean photo/guest book)

I was married on December 3rd of 2005 and I have all of my winter wedding decorations for sale. I went with the snowflake theme and used light blue, white, and silver for my colors. I would love to share my ideas with you and see if there is anything that you might want to buy from me. If you would like some more information please e-mail me at hillabee00@yahoo.com.
