Making Of The SFC House Band

Sing For Cash Studio is hosting a competition to find a lead vocalist for our House Band which plays a variety of music styles and genres. We will be booking the band at several venues locally and need a committed vocalist to perform cover songs and possibly some original material. The competitions will last 8 weeks and will be hosted at The Warehouse Bar and Grill located on Hwy 92 across from the Publix Employee Credit Union.

How it works:
The vocalists will receive a standard play list from which to choose their music and they will be asked to perform anywhere from 2-4 songs each night of the competition. The vocalists will be judged and scored by a panel of judges to include Sing for Cash Owner Lisa Marie, Co-Owner Brandon Sanborn, Creative Music Producer Charlie West and Music Engineer Terrea Riggs. The contestants will be rated on vocals, style, performance, and appearance. We are seeking a unique sound with creative style and entertaining appeal – someone who performs for the audience.

If you are interested and can commit to the 8 weeks, call us right away. Limited space is available. The cost to enter the competition is $20 initial application fee and $5 additional entree fee to move on to the next round if selected by the judges to move forward each week. We want serious contestants only. We are looking for permanent vocalists to perform with the band weekly for venues who need entertainment and are looking to us for booking.

Vocalists will be amazed at the talent behind this band. They are diverse in genres including, but no limited to, rock, gospel, Christian, pop, oldies, blues and top 40. Our goal is to book them 5 to 6 nights a week at multiple venues with different styles and to create a versatile band that can be booked at any venue. This may require multiple vocalists so even if you don`t win the competition, it could lead to bookings for your talent. Registration will be in advance up through the first night of performance, which is projected for April 6th.

The contest will last 8 weeks. The winner will receive House Band Placement, a free Recording session to create a Demo CD for distribution to local venues for performance, and a management contract with Sing For Cash Studios to perform at local venues for pay. Prizes will be distributed to all contestants for participation to include a free video of their performance. A copy of their performance will be provided to Midas Records for any exceptional talent for A& R purposes.
