Brittany, I beg to differ on the part that the family is "supposed" to pay for the wedding. Parents are not obligated to pay for the wedding. They can cooperate if they want to and if they can. Sorry that you father feels the way he does towards you and your wedding. What kind of help do you need? If what you need is money to pay for your wedding expenses, there are a few things you can do to render what ever money you have now. You should`ve by now establish a budget. A budget basically tells you what kind of wedding you will have. If you budget is extra tight (it seems so from what you wrote) it is adviceable to limit your guest count. Limit the alcohol or maybe don`t have alcohol at all (savings, savings). You can have your wedding reception at a friends back yard (if is big enough), a park, community center or any other public place. You can even ask close friends if they can help with any of the wedding preparations. Decorations can be very expensive, you can do decorations yourself or with help of friends and husband-to-be.

Well I`ve tried budgeting but its nearly impossible!
The bridesmaid and groomsmen are all paying for there own dresses and outfits so that a big relief we are not having alchol and we are not having a big wedding all though thre might be alot of ppl b/c we both have big families but other than that its not going to big and I am making my own invites so yeah thanks for the advice

Ok first of all figure out what you can do on your own. Also scale down your guest list to a reasonable amount. You could have the wedding and the reception at home or outside. You could cook the foods yourself and have your family help, since they cant afford it, this is a good way they can help you. Also when picking your flowers pick seasonal ones and maybe you could plant them yourself. Since you are going with a western theme try looking in garage sales and auctions for vintagy things you may find just what your looking for at a good price. You could even make tables for outside if you find old lumber. With your western theme you have alot of opertunities to save money. Just remember have fun!
