Beta`s Require Room And Goldfish Can Live To Be 45 Years

There are a couple of misconceptions here. One, yes, Betta fish are bred and kept in rice fields, and are hardy fish, but the rice fields are FIELDS (picture in your head how big a FIELD is compared to a bowl). Beta`s are regular fish, who swim, hide and are very active, IF given the chance and the room. Two, Goldfish DO live long, happy lives if you let them. They can live to be 45 years or more. The Koi kind can live to be over 100 years old. Fish can be taught to come to their owner. Koi (the colored goldfish) even enjoy being petted.
The decision to use live animals as your table decoration is yours, but expect alot of complaints from your guests who will see this as cruel. Years after your wedding, do you really want people remembering the cruelty?
