Hey, it`s not that bad of a read. It ain`t Shakespeare, just a former Associated Press reporter.
THEY MEET
Emboldened by a beer or two, Sara corralled Ravi`s fraternity brother, Pete. "Ravi`s pretty cute," she said. "Tell him that I like him." Pete cut across the room and told Ravi over loud, pulsing music that Sara really wanted to meet him.
Ravi looked her way and smiled, shyly. Sara`s hopes soared. They merged toward the center of the room and danced. A few words were exchanged, but barely heard above the music.
SHE`S GOING TO LEAVE HIM
Deep down, Michael thought about marriage. He loved Dleesaa. “But I didn’t want to rush into it. Besides, I wanted to have a ring ready. In order to do that, you have to put away a couple of bills here and there.”
Dleesaa checked their bank account—often. Not a dent. In her mind, Valentine’s Day 2005 was the deadline. No ring, bye bye.
A PROPOSAL...
Then Michael got on one knee and reached in his pocket. From that moment, everything moved in slow motion, as if Dleesaa were cut off from the world.
“Wiiiiiilllllllll yooooouuuu maaaaarrrryyyyy meeeeee?” she heard Michael say. The huddled crowd cleared a circle for the couple. Cameras flashed. People cheered and clapped for them.
