Wedding Planner.. Starting A Business?

Hello, I`m new to the board and seeking information on becoming a wedding planner. As far as I know, Ive read one most obtain a certificate in order to become a wedding planner/consultant. This is something I`ve always dreamed of doing. However, I`m already a sophmore in college currently studying for nursing but had a career change lol.

I`m having some difficulty getting some direction towards doing what I want. I`d like to start my own business and maybe later find a business partner to help me. Can anyone give me some advice on how to get started? Also, for those of you who are wedding planners, would it be necessary to have a business degree or is it not needed?
