We are getting married on New Year`s eve and, for a favor for the reception, we are going to incorporate a New Year`s tradition (I was unaware of it until researching a New Year`s wedding) - almonds wrapped in fancy foil, with a ribbon on it. Apparently, Almonds are associated with New Year`s. Other than that, my "colors" are the same as yours - wintery (except no periwinkle -just white, irridescent white and silver - no bridesmaids, so this is just decorations). We are doing ours as a New Year`s party, with the vows to be taken right after midnight. Everything will have a "wintery" feel. There will be tulle wrapped around banisters, with white christmas tree lights strung through it (we`re getting married in a courthouse Museum - an old, recently-restored LARGE courtroom, where the "reception" (pre-vows New Year`s party) and "ceremony" (vows) will all be held. We will decorate with the tulle, as I mentioned, and pointsettias. I`ll be able to get both very cheap after Christmas. Good luck!

We`re having a February winter wedding and my colors are going to be silver and white, with crystals/sparkles as accents. Bridesmaids will wear silver dresses with black velvet wraps. My dress is VERY sparkly, with Austrian crystals on the bodice. I`ll wear crystals in my hair and we`ll have them in the flowers as well. (And my shoes... Heeled mules with rhinestone straps!) The flowers will be all white and fragrant, casablanca lilies and white dendrobium orchids. The cake is going to be all white with iridescent glitter sprinkled on the tiers and decorated only with sparkly crystals on wires. The evening ceremony will be candle-lit and for the reception after we`ll use lots of tulle and white Christmas lights. There is a fireplace in the reception hall as well so we`re envisioning that it`s going to be somewhat cosy, soft lighting, with lots of sparkles everywhere... Very romantic!
