My sister and I are planning a 50th wedding anniversary Party for our parents. We ar tring to find a live musical band to play 40`s 50`s and 60`s music.
Maybe the band could play a couple of Italian numbers.
We would appreciate any suggestions and help for a succesful outcome Thanks....Dave

Dave:
Wow! That is so neat that you and your sister are doing that for your parents....they will be thrilled! It should be a lot of fun to put together, too!

I realize that you are looking for music, but since you asked for ANY suggestions, I wondered if you had thought about a video presentation - a slideshow - of their years together. It would turn out so great, especially if you added in music from the 40s, 50s, and 60s - some of my own favorites are from that time. If you`re interested in that at all, feel free to email me at ddnj@juno.com for more information! Good luck!

Hello, I may be of some help, my business is called Partylabelz, they are a great inexpensive way for guests to identify their drinks. It really cuts down on waste and no one will accidently drink out of someone else`s glass again. They are also dish washer safe and reusable and the nametag can be printed with their name and date for a lasting keepsake. Please see my labelz under children`s parties. Thanks, I hope to hear from you Carol

For Favors: You can purchase small gold drawstring bags and put some candy kisses in them. This was done at a 50th. We recently attended. Everyone loved them.
Another favor was: A small framed picture of the couple as they were on their wedding day given to each couple or single person.
The original Wedding.Album, bridal gown etc. Going away attire etc. For both was also part of a 5oth. Anniv. We attended. Always the Wedding Album if they had one.
Centerpieces used could be given to original wedding party members, grandmothers, godmother`s etc.
Good luck in your planning. Be sure to make sure you check the date in mind for the event with your parents or arrange to have a friend invite them for dinner etc. If its a real surprise. Allow plenty of time to plan and take time putting together your guest list. Sue

Please email me for info on my partylabelz . They are personalized drink labelz that will identify each persons cup or glass and can be imprinted with the names and dates of your parents to be displayed in a photo album or scapebook. Never drink out of someone else`s cup again and help reduce the spread of germs. These labels are great for large gatherings and are available in a variety of colors with a minimum order. Hope to hear from you soon thanks Carol

My parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary next 2-24-06. I would like to have this at their home church. Do you have any decorating ideas on a budget?

Allow me to address your invitations in calligraphy. Or maybe write out your wedding vows - or what about place cards for that formal dinner reception???

Over 15 years experience. Come to my website and check out my samples. I would love to hear from you!
I will ship anywhere in the U.S.

My husband`s parents just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and I did a poem for them in calligraphy about being married for 50 years. We framed it and it was the PERFECT gift!!!
