Invitation Etiquette

My in-laws are celebrating their 50th anniversary by having their vows renewed and a Mass. We will then have a dinner at a nice place immediately following the church service. Does the invitation invite the person to the church for the vow renewal with "reception immediately following" card enclosed, or does it invite someone to the dinner with a small card enclosed inviting them to the Mass?
