Baby Shower

My Husband is in the military and we don`t have any close friends to throw us a baby shower. We`re all the way across the country from all of our friends and family. Is it wrong for us to throw our own baby shower?

Throwing yourself a party is perfectly normal. The proper etiquette would be to print unique invitations such as a message from your baby, a request for a baby room decorating party or an invitation to simply join you in your joy.
