Camouflage Wedding....>HELP!

I need some serious bride to be advice! My fiance is being a typical groom and just letting me handle all the planning. The only thing he asked for was camouflage vests for the tuxes. I dont hate the idea, but I don`t like it either, because my dresses were going to be silver and red. I just feel really bad cuz its the only thing he asked for. I need some serious ideas. PLEASE HELP!

Nicole, how about compromise, instead of having camouflage vest, he can have a groom table at the reception decorated in camouflage or whatever else he wants!

Well, the nice thing is that a vest only shows a little bit. How about silver bridesmaid`s gowns with green sashes? The sash look is very very in right now, and if you pick the right shade of green, it could look absolutely lovely!

I was at a wedding show and saw vests that were reversable. They were camo on one side and dressy on another. That way they can still look dressy at the ceremony, but camo later on. Check with your tux vendor, they may have that option available.

Well, I just want to say Thank You to those of you who responded to my wedding issue. I appreciate the advice and will seriously consider the ideas. My only other idea is that my fiance and our ring bearer get the vest, since the two of us girls (me and my flower girl) will be wearing white.

My fi is also really into the camo. The guys are wearing the black tuxes with the camo vests which actually look pretty nice and they dont show that much. And I think the girls are going to wear choolate brown. My bouquet is going to have geathers probably pheasant to go with the whole camo thing and I love the feather thing anway. I also agree though the right green would look great and use a sash we are debating on this. I also originally wanted red and silver.

Hey Nichole, I know exactly how you feel. I am going through the exact same thing. But you can really turn this into something fun and exciting. I am turning it into a fall wedding. My bridesmaids are wearing a champaign colored dress and the color matches almost perfectly with the camouflage. Like previously said, go to theformalsportsman.com. They have a lot of great things for a reasonable price. Also go to coloradocarla.com. She has some really fun things to add. That is where I am going to get my invitations. Also, I am getting my bouquet at bluebarnbaskets.com. They have a few fall bouquets there, there are beautiful, very reasonable price, and silk! And last but not least, go to weddingflowersandmore.com. They have a lot of different fall bouquets and decorations that are really nice. I hope I`ve helped and congradulations on you upcoming wedding and have fun!

OMG! My fiance stumbled upon this post looking for camo tuxedos. He swears that I posted this and even after pointing out that we aren`t even having a flower girl. He still thinks that I posted considering I`m not thrilled about the camo idea and my name is Nicole! I hope all goes well for you.

Nicole and others interested in the Camo Theme....

I work with a custom designer, and we were discussing whether military and sportsman type brides wouldn` t like the options of a wedding gown that was very traditional, but just had a camo accent color....or trim. I am seeking your opinions on this. For example, right now I can sell a number of styles that have royal blue or red as accent colors, but what about a gown that had mossy oak or real tree as this accent color, BUT it was a traditional white or ivory gown otherwise?? I had a friend who had the grooms men wear vests that on the outside was the color she picked, to wear during the reception and pictures, and on the inside was camouflage, to wear during the reception and for a couple more pictures. Just an idea.

Some friends of ours got married last year, and he wanted camo. His wife-to-be asked him if he would wear what she wanted for the wedding ceremony then half way through pics afterward him and his groomsmen changed into camo vests. Then they had pics of both and they wore camo to the reception.
