Depo.... Do It Or Don`t....

Eight years would be a long time to be on the depo.... Especially with the problems you were having and without taking any breaks. I wouldn`t have stayed on any med that altered my body and mood the way it did for you. I think your doctor should have given you alternatives, mine did. Even though I liked the depo, I still took time off and took the pill instead to give my body a break. As an fyi.... Because I`m trying to conceive, my GYN told me that my periods could be "jump started" if need be. He wants me to try holding out for a month or two yet to see if nature will take it`s course first. If not, he will assist. He said he really isn`t concerned as this point and he sees parenthood in the near future. You being older, I`m sure you could do the same with the issue on periods too, if you really want them. Although, unless you are planning on conception, what is the point or worry? They would stop altogether soon enough anyway, right?
