Destination Wedding
I am having trouble with planning a getaway wedding. We want to go somewhere tropical, we are thinking Hawaii. I don`t think that I want to have it on the beach though. Does anyone have any suggestions? websites?

I am planning a wedding in Oahu and so far things seem very nice. My ceremony will be at the Ihilani and they have a few options. I have heard of the fern grotto in Kauai...never been there though. Plus, the Maui Prince (in Maui ofcourse) has a very cool setting within the hotel...it`s circular and in the center there are these amazing waterfalls with tropical gardens and fish in the ponds under foot. This is where my friend was married and there was only one thing I didn`t care for: it was a little difficult to hear the soft spoken judge over the rushing of water. Other than that it was amazing and not actually on the beach yet they still got their sunset photos in the sand. Good Luck!

I would suggest trying to contact some of the hotels that interest you. Just do an internet search and you`ll find a lot. I would suggest O`ahu (I`m partial, because I live here and I`m getting married at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki). It really depends on what you want out of it. If you want something secluded and romantic, then maybe one of the outer islands like Kaua`i (its VERY beautiful). But if you want to make it a combination honeymoon, then I would suggest Oahu because its the main island and there`s a lot more stuff going on ALL the time. If you`re having guests come with you I would push Oahu because, again, there`s more stuff to do. Also, because Oahu is the main island, there are a lot more vendor options here. If you`re on a budget, I would suggest Oahu because of that.

I forgot to mention, if you like Oahu I can give you some hotel suggestions because I have met with EVERY hotel in Waikiki and have seen all the venues trying to plan my wedding. Hope it helps.
