Looking For A Red Wedding Dress
I`ve been looking for a red wedding gown. If anyone out there has one, or knows of a designer that has one, please let me know. The wedding itself will have a gothic theme, so I`d like something to go with that, although any ideas are welcome! thanks.

TRY EBAY!
Search ebay stores as well- many of those who carry traditional bridal gowns also carry colored ball gowns- I`ve seen gothic too.

Hi,
My grandma wore a red wedding gown, and I plan to wear one too. I`m also looking for a red gown, so if you have learned of any designers or makers, can you please share with me?

Hi, I got married in a red velvet wedding gown for a medieval themed wedding in October 2002. I looked all around for one but ended up getting one specially made.
This is a 2003 style that I just recently found http://www.thedesignroom.co.uk/2003/chianti.htm
Good luck.

I would have it made... Perhaps by a costumer rather than a dressmaker. I had mine made by the local shakespeare costume maker who did the clothes for a play my brother was in.
Mine was 9 yards of red velvet, with satin kick-step pleats (that showed when you walked), tight satin inner sleeves and triangular sleeves that fell to my knees. The back was done up with a mile of red cording criss-crossed from my bottom to my neckbone. The bodice was quilted red velvet and had a scoop neckline cut deep and a low pointed waist that looked fabulous and the whole thing was RED RED RED.
The costumer knew how to make it look like an authentic medieval dress rather than just faking together something that looks "old"... Mine was fairly accurate to its represented time the way I wanted.... And what did I pay for this work of art.....?
About $350US. Costumers charge by labour and materials, not for the "label". To have a custom dress of this extravagence made by a wedding dress house would have been at least 10 times the price and not half what I wanted.
My suggestion is to ask around the local arts community for costumers that do historical plays. Local Shakespeare Societies are great. Get references, and go visit some of them. It`s work... But no more than getting a dress from a "shop" and you`ll get exactly what you want.
Good luck, and it you`d like a photo of my dress feel free to email me.

Hi! I don`t know whereabouts you are but I`m in Leicester and there`s a wedding shop that has the most gorgeous red wedding dresses. I can`t remember what it`s called right now but it`s just off Charles Street, round the corner from Bistro Live.

The best one is by Ian Stuart called Valentine style 9790. The link to the site is below. It is a beauty! He also has another style 9792 that has a red bodice. However, he has been known to make changes, so we could get the skirt red as well. Also, the Valentine dress is in silk, for a reduced cost he may make the dress in satin. Sincerity, Venus, and Impressions did some red dresses recently as well. Http://www.ianstuart.com/ If you are interested in purchasing. Please feel free to contact me for reduced pricing and the changes I can make for you to make these dresses the gown of your dreams.

I have seen the red dress by Ian Stuart called "Valentine" in person at Tery Costa`s here in Dallas. Thank you very much for the name of the designer, whoever posted that! The nasty wench at the dress shop was indignant about giving me the name and wrote "Anne Stewart" on the card when I asked for it. The only one they had was way up on a pedestal in the window, so I couldn`t look for myself. If you can afford it, this is absolutely the most luscious creation on the face of the Earth. After the wedding, I would buy a mannequin and have it displayed as art! Cat

Hi, i just made my girlfriend but the ian sturat 9790 red dress, it`s the most beutiful thing i`ve ever seen. Were getting married next halloween, 07, were taking the droctour, to romaina to get married in dracula`s castle. Can`t wait, by the way the dress was a little pricey at just over 2,000 dollers.

I just wanted to write that I also have the Ian Stuart #9790 red gown and it is the dress of my dreams.
I couldn`t even afford the knockoffs when I did get married, so when one came up on ebay in my size I snatched it up for a vow renewal.
I may have never gotten my pony for Christmas, but I now own the gown of my dreams (even if it was a little late!)
This dress is worth every penny of whatever it is you pay for it.
