Native American Wedding

Aho! I too am planning my native american wedding I just about have all the info I need but, I saw a cake at one time in abook by Colette Peters that looked like 4 Birch Bark (round) boxes, but I have not been able to find it again, My husband is full blood Ottawa and Odawa from upper Michigan and he has made me many gifts through the years and my fave are the round Birch Bark boxes he makes and my idea was for our cake to reflect this art form I myself am 1/2 Northern Cheyeene and 1/2 Lakota (Tenton) my dress is white doe skin and we will be using all three tribal customs in our wedding, so if anyone has an idea on how I can find this cake design it would be of a great help

Hi Mia, I read your message and I think the idea of a "birch bark" look for the cake is great. I found some websites that have pictures of "birch bark wedding cakes". E-mail me back I will be glad to give you the websites, isa1326@yahoo.com

Hi, Mia! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I love the way you are weaving your traditional cultural & spiritual heritage into the celebration. It sounds like you are creating an incredible work of art! When and where are you getting married? I would LOVE to have you consider me for your wedding photographer assuming you`re located in the Midwest. I`m in the Twin Cities. Blessings, Linda Lee, Real Life Photography

I just did a round of beautiful wedding invitation samples for a Native American wedding that included pheasant feathers and maple leaves. I would be happy to send you the pictures. Either email me at apryle@AllYoursInvitations.com or leave me your email address I`ll send you the pictures!
