1940`s Centerpieces

My daughter is getting married on July 8, 2006 with a Hollywood glamour theme. For centerpieces, I purchased the plastic, disposable Martini glasses and champagne pink (you could use any color you want) marbles. With a gel super glue, I attached the stacked glasses together, (using 11 per centerpiece) placed the marbles inside each glass (about half way) and drapped pearls from the glasses. I made 14 centerpieces and spent only $150. My daughter loves them because they are so elegant. For her and her fiance` special table, I will use one large Martini glass/vase with the same supplies but they will have something different. Also, I plan on using the submersible floralytes in the centerpieces so that they glow, which will add extra drama and some additional costs, but you don`t have to.

Do you have any photos that you could send me? I would really like the opportunity to see the wonderful Idea.

Thelasse, I made a couple of changes due to stability in transport. For each table, I used one(1) grande martini glass vase, one(1) mid-size acrylic martini glass, and one(1) small glass martini glass. Placed clear acrylic nuggets 3/4 of the way and used the floralytes. I purchased the glass grande martini vases at Michaels, the acrylic ones at Bed, Bath and Beyond, and the regular size glasses from my local dollar store. Our daughter`s wedding was this past Saturday in New Mexico and I can`t tell you how beautiful it was. So many guests commented on the elegant and classy centerpieces. My total costs per table was approx. $35., and that included the nuggets and lights. I will do my best to post a picture as soon as we get them in. I wish you the best of luck and please take the time to enjoy the journey!
