Where Do I Start
I recently got engaged and do not know what to do first. Most of my friends got married at least 10 to 12 years ago so they are as lost as I. Where do I start? What are dinner rehearsals and how do I know what were supposed to be rehearsing. I feel a little lost and when I ask bridal stores I get bombarded with "people they know" and phone calls. I dont want to get taken advantage of so I could use some advice. We will have around 35-50 people on a preliminary guest list.
Thanks Sunshine

On any internet search engine, type Bride`s to-do list, you`ll get tons of information. In my experience, choose your hall first, then caterer, then florist. Rehearsal dinners are the night before the wedding, includes bridal party and both sets of parents. Rehearsal dinners are generally the groom`s parents responsibility.

Depending on where you are located, you may consider talking with a wedding consultant. Many have very reasonable pricing options for brides who want to do the work themselves, but just need some guidance all the way up to hiring them to do all the work for you and you just make the decisions. It could really be worth the time and money to talk with them. They generally know the local vendors and venues and can refer you toward what you are looking for so you can save hours of your time weeding thru sites or caterers that just arent right for you.
Www.bridalassn.com/ can give you leads on consutlants in your area. All consultants on this list must complete basic requirements set forth by the association before they can be listed with them.
Good luck!

Do yourself a favor and order your favors from Jamie at e-bay, we did. The candy wrappers and mint matchbooks were beautifully done and were a big HIT!!! Everyone loved them.

Hi Sunshine, a very helpful tool is the one found at theknot.com They have a check list organized by date and category, so you always know what to do and when. It is very easy to use. You see the list, and check out the things you`ve done or currently doing. The list starts from checking banquet halls (if using one) to days after the wedding.
Hope it helps.
