Renewal Of Wedding Vows

My husband and I are were married by a non denominational minister almost 15 years ago. We have been thru many ups and downs and decided last year that on our 15th anniversary we would get married in the Catholic Church. My husband has been taking classes to convert to Catholic and will also be confirmed right after our reaffirmation of our marriage. Even though we have been married for some time, I feel like we are starting a new journey together and want everyone to share in it. I am wearing an informal wedding dress (ivory) and I am having my best friend stand up for me and our three boys are standing up for my husband(they all will be in tuxes). We are also having a nice reception afterwards. I am also getting a cake, but it will probably be more of an anniversary type cake. I think it is your day and you should do it up how you wish. My uncle is a priest and he says he has had people do the whole deal and also do it very simple. Go for it!!!!!
