Engagement Ring

Settle the arguement, Does the engagement ring go on
The right then transfers to the left on the wedding day?
Or does it go on the left and stay on the left?

I think its up to you wherever you want to wear the engagement ring. I`ve heard that people sometimes give it to someone else to wear until after the ceremony. I am wearing mine on my right hand then switching it to my left after the ceremony. That way I don`t have the extra worry of someone losing it.
