Table Decorations
We are trying to figure out what table decorations to use at our wedding reception. The reception is held at a restraunt that won`t let us use candles. All of the ideas we could think of included candles, does anyone have any suggestions?

Sure thing!!! Flowers are very common, of course. For more unique ideas you could place small battery powered fountains with a fer Glittery rocks and large leaves around. If you wanted to do a beach theme, you could place an assortment of shells, including a conche and sand dollars for place settings. You could Have Balloon Centerpieces, or a large decorated glass containers and some floating flowers. The ideas are endless. If you want a more personalized idea, e-mail me at

I am using small fish bowls, filled with the real fish, color fish rocks my bouquets are and little star fish (I ordered them online). On top of the water I am floating a water lily. It is a definite conversation piece and so inexpensive (you can get feeder gold fish for 10 cents a piece). You can write me back if you want more information. If they don`t let you use real fish you can fill it with seasshells. (also online) katietgirl@hotmail.com

Hi
I encountered this same problem ... No open flames allowed. This meant no votive candles, no floating candles, etc. I bought battery operated candle sticks with clear bulbs (sometimes they are sold as Christmas decorations) and also mini lamp shades. Will use two on each table ...
My budget is small, I`m just setting out a few flowers in a vase between the candle sticks, with scattered artificial petals on the tables.
