David`s Bridal Complaint
My friend is getting married this year and we went to David`s Bridal to look at dresses. The first time she went without an appointment just to look. She didn`t know you HAD to make an appointment before you could look around the store. She was told to make an appointment and leave. SO she made an appointment for the following Saturday. She went in that Saturday with one of the bridesmaids and I was going to meet them later. When she arrived she was told that the bridesmaid could not try on dresses that day because they were just TO busy. The bridesmaid insisted she try on dresses (she works 2 jobs) so they finally broke down and let her try on dresses. My friend got to try on a few dresses and when her hour had barely passed they were shoving her out the door AGAIN!!! There were two other sets of brides and bridesmaids trying on dresses when she got there and they were still there when she left. So she made another appointment. This appointment I went to WITH her. Me, the bride and another bridesmaid went in a few minutes early because a few of my friends have been scolded for being a few minutes late. We arrived and started looking around someone approached us and told us someone would be with us soon. We tried on our bridesmaids dresses, picked out our sizes and styles and someone STILL had yet to come help our bride. Then we stood by the dressing rooms being completely ignored for over 20 minutes. We finally got so mad we walked out. The bride called the store the next day and talked to the manager. The manager begged for a second chance, but she already had 3!!! David`s bridal is a COMMERCIAL store that acts like they are the only store that sells bridal gowns and they think they can treat customers any way they want. It was a horrible experience - I have never heard good things about the Kansas City North store. When you are planning a wedding the last thing you need is a bunch of snotty old women looking down their nose at you. I know that when I get married I will not be stepping foot into a David`s Bridal and hopefully this experience helps a couple girls along the way.

David`s Bridal is exactly where I`m getting my dress and my Maid of Honor`s dress. The experience for me was just the opposite. Me, along with 3 of my friends went along for the day. I got there and they informed me that I needed an appt, but they were going to see if someone could help me. So, a little later, this lady walked up and asked me if she could help. I told her what I was there for and she informed me that my consultant would be right with me and that "I was in for a treat". And she was exactly right!! I tried on about 8 dresses and finally made my decision. We went on a Sunday. Got there around 3:30 and they closed at 6:00. We were there till 7:00 and they didn`t one time rush me or anything. They were nothing but nice!! And as we were leaving, my daughter, which is going to be my Maid of Honor saw a dress she liked and my consultant told her to go ahead and try it on if she would like. So, she did and we ended up getting her dress as well!! I thoroughly enjoyed the day and was really blessed to have someone care so much about me!!

I am glad that someone actually had a good experience with David`s Bridal. I wouldn`t have posted a complaint if a bad experience would have only happened one time, but three times? That is way out of line. She has also spoken with a manager at After Hours Formal wear, which is David`s Bridal`s sister company. He informed her that this particular store has been in trouble lately for bad customer service.
