Deprovera

Hi, as of today, I have been off of the shot for 8 months now. I was on it for three years following my abortion which was in Jan. Of 2002. Ive been doing some research regarding pregnancy and it said that you have to give your body about a year to recover from the injection. Since I`ve been off the shot, I`ve had normal periods that last for 4 days and they come every 21 days. I just want to know if i should continue to wait to see when i get pregnant or if i should go to a gyn and get more accurate information. Im really not trying to get pregnant but im just curious and need to know.
