Antidepressant Medication

For those of you who are obsessing unhealthily about this issue and who find that it is significantly affecting your quality of life, I suggest that you see a psychiatrist to see if medication might be a good option for you. Antidepressants (that work on serotonin) helped me immensely. It was like flipping a switch -- I no longer overreacted (by blushing) in social situations. It`s been incredibly helpful for me! The occassional use of inderal has also been helpful.

I also suggest massage. What you want to do is get your stress level down, so that you don`t go into overdrive and flush when confronted with everyday social interactions.

There is hope, though! I don`t even think about blushing anymore, whereas a few years ago I was fixated on the issue.

Good luck!
