How Do I Know What To Charge
I am new to the event planning game and I dont know how much I should charge. I have been asked to plan two weddings this year and I started by charging them $650.00 but both brides feel that that is to much and $500.00 is all I should charge. What do I do?

Are your clients asking you to find them the vendors for Gowns, Wedding Flowers, Cake & Pastry, Catering, Church Site, Reception Site, Bar Tenders, Photographer, Limo Service etc.? If so, this takes a bit of your time. Figure how much time you will have to invest in putting the wedding together. Multiply those hours by at least minimum wage plus 20%, cost of your mileage, cost of any long distance calls and any other expenses that you will incur in order to get this information for the bride. Remember that your time is valuable and the service you are performing for the bride will end up saving her money in the long run. If you have any other questions, or I can be of any service to you with information, please feel free to contact me. I have been doing this for many years.
