50th WeddingAnniversary
I am trying to plan my parents 50th and don`t know where to start. I have basic list of about 100-125. This needs to be done on a low budget. Can you help with guidelines. Plans are Aug/Sept 2003. We are in Massachusetts.

Brenda, first take a breath. Feel better? I hope so. Take a moment and determine the theme of your event, such as the moment in time when they first met, maybe when your father asked your mother to marry him.
Next, plan out a budget. How much do you want to spend on each person? Take that figure and multiply it by the amount of people you are wanting to invite. Next, realize that 40 - 45% will be for the cost of the reception site/catering. Next, things to consider would be like where are going to have this event, and have you reserved the site for the date you want? If not, you need to reserve it now, because majority of sites book up quick. Next is music, photography, invitations, bakery, favors, etc. But, take one thing at a time.
If you need additional help, feel free to email me.
Good luck in your planning and congratulations to your parents.
