Filipino Wedding, Chocolate & Pink

This is a long shot, but I am in California and having a Filipino themed wedding. I have lots of ideas about coconuts, ets., I just wanted to see if there was anyone around who could offer other suggestions and vendors. I`m still looking for a dj, photographer, videographer, and maybe a coordinator. Oh, and looking to get my dress made, Maria Clara. If you think you might be able to help, leave a message!

Thanks!

Aimee,
I am not really a desingner, but if you want a Maria Clara dress style make it formal, its a good idea to focus on that as your focal base color which is black and white ,, I am not saying that`s the only color you can have in your wedding .. It would be nice if the Groom and the men are wearing tuxidos ( black jacket and blk pants and white inside ) depends on how formal you want, and let the women wear white formal filipina dresses like what Imelda marcos wears . By doing this, you and the groom will be the focus. .
Jewelry --- pearls! ..remember Philipines is called the pearl of the orient seas.
Your flowers has to be white and if you can find a Philippine Jasmin ( sampaguita ) it would be great bec. Of the scent, the color and the glossy leaves. Avoid roses if u can. Focus on tropica plants and flowers such as orchids.
Cake--- why not have a coconut cake ... Coconut flakes comes in different colors not just white ,, but again it would be nice to have white coconut flakes outside and dark chocolate inside ( black and white like your dress)
Avoid --- pls avaid usind the whole coconut tree or banana tree for decor and just use the lives for floral arrangements. Kalesa is only for you to ride into not for decorations.
Banana lives can be placed on top of the plates during receptions to feel the tropics and tradition .

Good luck and best wishes
