Interracial Marriages
I too am in an interracial relationship. I am Black and my boyfriend of almost 4 years is Indian. He has not told his parents yet because they are racist. I think that it is so sad that people in love should be torn apart because of skin color or cultural differences. I intend on marrying this wonderful man and I hope that all people in this situation will stick up for whom they love and not give up.

Hi Victoria,
I just wanted to say keep your head up girl. I am engaged to an Indian and I am black too. Fortunately, because he is the only and eldest son, his mother has taken the news of me very well. She said she simply wants to see him happy. Perhaps your boyfriend can do sort of a lithmus test to see how they would accept you. After all, if you decide to marry, it is not just a joining of your and your fiancee as husband and wife but also of families and souls. Also think about writing a letter to his family to introduce yourself so they can know a bit about you. That`s what I did.

Hi Victoria,
I doubt after three years you may still be around but I wanted to see how your situation wound up. The guy I described in my previous post has now been my husband for a little over three and a half years. I do hope others find hope in our situation.
