Deprover-Dont Do It

I am 21 years old and have been on depo now since I was a freshman in high school. Five years I have taken depo. I did try the patch for one month and didnt care for it (for no reason) and went right back to taking depo. I really like the shot because I dont have a period and who wouldnt! I have had a little weight gain but no other symtoms since I read this web site I am now a little worried about the side affects of being on depo for such a long time and not having a period. I would like to know if this is going to cause me to not be able to have children in the future and what you think about IUD? I will tell you when I did stop thaking depo one summer I had a period for 3 months i thought i was going to bleed to death I got back on to stop the bleeding. No problem and nothing to complain about. It just affects people differently just like any thing else. I am really worried about my future healt now thought. Thanks for the information I plan on looking into something different now.
