Panty Hose Or Not?

I am going with my husband (Oct. 26) to a black tie affair that is being sponsered by one of the hospitals that he is affiliated with. My question is, do I have to wear panty hose under my gown?The gown is sheer and straight with spaghetti straps and a black lace overlay. It is very pretty (not cheesy). I tried it with and without panty hose, and I think it looks better without. I could get away with not wearing them in the summer, but since it is Oct. I am not sure if it is inappropriate. Thanks for your help.

Yes, the appropriate thing to do is to wear panty hose after August 1. I saw a response from someone else who was a wedding coordinator, but that response is no longer there now. That is strange. Maybe the people who run the site are prejudice becasue that lady sure helped me alot!

I agree yes to pantyhose. Have you tried a neutral shade? Perhaps this would make you feel more comfortable.
