Decorating A Barn
I am having my wedding in the fall at a barn. I am really stuck for ideas on how to decorate the barn, I would love some suggestions from anyone. Especially table centerpieces and wedding favors.

Are you going with a fall theme or a western theme?

I would collect some wonderful old cow creamers and do a seasonal arrangement in them.

How fun. There are so many things that can be done. Depending on the theme you are going for you can have lots of fun. Don`t just think of flowers for the centerpieces, but seasonal fruit as well. Use apples, grapes and thins of that nature. Fall leaves scattered on the tables and floors. Hanging lanterns from the ceiling along with large branches with things like bittersweet vine wrapped on the posts and beams. Have fun and be creative. Good Luck to you.

Try this page, whether or not you`re leaning toward a western feel at all. There are tons of great comments below the article, too.

Wrap all the rafters in twinkle lights. Mason jars filled with candles, wheat centerpieces, spice cakes and pies, galvanized tubs filled with pretty Jones soda type drinks, things like this will get you started.

You can use small craft size hay bails have the florist add small nose gay arr in the bail have the flowers in water tubes add ribbon to hide the stems , do separate oil lanterns to off set flower arr. That way you wont have a fire hazzard.

Hey I see where you are having your wedding in a barn. I think its so neat, I too am having my re newal vows done in my brother in laws barn. Some of the ideas I have came up with is.... Small tin bucket that you can find in the plant dept. At walmart. They come in many sizes, Iam using them for center peices, also am using small tin watering cans, and placing flowers and twigs in them also. We are using a large tin tub to put drinks in. We are using tulle and bunching it up from the four corners and up the wall with lights in it to the center of the roof then placing a twig ball with lights in the center. We are placing straw bales around with the tables and chairs. Using log rounds to place on the food table to place plates of food on also doing this on the cake table. Taking trees and placing at the enterence and putting tulle and lights in them. Leading up to the barn I am taking small round blocks of wood and drilling out the center and placing battery lights in them to line the path to the barn. I hope this helps some. Let me know what you think or if you have and ideas. Have fun!!!!
