1940`s Wedding
Wow. Alot of you have some wonderful ideas. Again, I do not have pictures because the wedding doesn`t occur until April.
Terasa: The ostrich feathers is very cool. I was going to have my bridesmaids wear a cloche hat with an ostrich feather sweeping down around the face from the center.
Mary: Please tell me where your friend got her invitations. I would love to see those which sound perfect. I have made a calla lily choice, but these sound better. I do have a picture of the crescent moon...somewhere, but I think I`m going to wing it with my own design. I figure just a cut-out of a large, very large quarter moon with a seat hidden behind it. A person could sit on the seat and swing their legs over the curve of the moon making it appear they were sitting on the moon.
Carol: I wanted to use the Air Traffic Command Restaurant which is based on a World War II theme, but it was just too far to drive from the ceremony. What a neat thing for your daughter - very symbolic. I settled for a banquet room with lots of mirrors, very Hollywood glamourous. Thinking about placing art deco silhouettes around.
