Depo Injection

Hi,I had been on the depo for 12 years and it does not take that long when you get off of it just a couple of months. I know I have three and i spaced them three years apart each. I too had never had a period the whole time i was on, but once i got off i bleed steadly for a few weeks each time..but everyone is different. My doctor refused to continue giving me the shot now because studies came out that show prolonged use of the depo is now causing osteoporosis in most women earlier in life. So dont worry my friends who also took depo got pregnant within a few months of getting off.

One thing i forgot to mention was I don`t know if it`s because i was on for so long While I was on the shot I had ZERO sex drive, as soon as i got off things were normal. So weight gain isn`t the only bad side effect.
