Depo And It`s Side Effects

Hello Ladies ;o) I had my first child on July 31st of this year. My husband and I are still in college, so I needed a fool-proof way of not getting pregnant again. (although I love my daughter, and hope to have more children someday) Anywho, My doctor suggested depovera and I had my first shot the day after my daughter was born. I have not been able to loose the "baby fat" and in fact have gained an extra 10 pounds. I was around 135 pounds before and now I weigh 180. I`m also depressed, I have mood swings, and although after the first shot I decided not to continue on depo, I still have not lost any weight or regained my sex drive. I lost all of my self confidence, and I blame depo for that. I was a happy, confident, skinny woman, and now I am struggling to get that back. Especially because I want to teach my daughter to be confident, and I don`t feel that I can unless I`m confident myself. I`m not writing this to scare anyone, I`m just letting people know that these side effects do happen. In fact, even people who have been on the shot for years, and claimed to love it have ended up having regrets. I only had one shot, and I`m already regretting it. I was almost glad to see that I`m not the only one, and it`s really not my fault, it`s the depo. To those who rave about how great the shot is... Good luck! ...
