25th Anniversary

Hi, my children want to give my husband and I a 25th anniversary party. Neither of them can handle this financially or really have the know how on what to do. My only goal is to have my family and friends together on this special day. My sister was my maid of honor, and best friend was a bridesmade. My daughter is embarrassed to ask her for help. She feels this is something she and her brother should do, her brother is still in high school, and doesn`t have the know how or finances. I myself love planning events. Is it wrong for me to be involved with this planning? Would it be wrong for me to approach my sister and let her know how the kids are feeling? Someone please help.
