RETURNING WEDDING GIFTS??? HELP!!!

My friend got married in August...the wedding was over before the honeymoon was! Long story short, divorce papers need to be drawn up! (very sad situation). She hasn`t even gotten the chance to finish thank you cards for the gifts. The big question...SHOULD SHE RETURN THE GIFTS??? And even if she keeps them, what in the world should she write on those "thank you" cards???
PLEASE, CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE PROPER THING FOR HER TO DO???

Wow! she hould decide what she thinks is fair. I would probably send them back but if she does decide to keep them she can just send cards that say that the gifts were appreciated
