Looking For An Old Wedding Song

Hi Cheryl,

Just wondering if you ever found the lyrics to this song. A friend of mine is going to sing this at our wedding and I wanted to find the lyrics for it.

My wife Lou and I were married in Waco, Texas in December 1962. The song "It Was Heaven`s Grace That Made Thee Mine" was sung. We have always regretted not saving the words or music and don`t know where to find them now. Can anyone help us?

Yesterday (Dec. 8, 2004) was the 42nd Anniversary of our wedding in Waco, Texas, when that song was used!

Next March 15th is our 25th anniversary, and it was my intention to surprise my wife by having my oldest and youngest sons (piano and violin) play that song and I would TRY to sing it... My son tells me he knows where all our wedding music is, so hopefully we can dig it out within the next day or two -- without alerting my wife, of course. :-)

I`ll keep you posted. If I don`t have it, hopefully my sister will...

I hope you will get this and respond. I too have an older brother that is celebrating their 40th anniversary and we are trying to locate this music and lyrics. I am almost in tears ... , my niece is here now and I told her about that song (I can recall only a few lines) and she said the message is just touching. It is so Scriptural, and that is exactly what she wanted to say to her fiancee in the ceremony. I do not know how to thank you. The beauty of all of this is "you were able to minister" to us even if we do not personally know each other. The Lord is so good and so creative in His ways.
