Ice Sculpture

I bought an ice mold that I plan to use at my daughter`s reception. Would like to hear from someone who has used an ice mold sculpture. How long do they last? What do you put them on to catch the melted ice. Am I wasting my time and money?

I didn`t use an ice mold for my wedding. I had someone that specialize in ice sculptures. It may be worth checking out this will alleviate time, frustration and you don`t have to worry about set up delivery or break down. The sculpture lasted appx. 6 hours.
