Hey Ladies,
Here are a few more fall wedding ideas if your looking. If you are going to have carved pumpins you could burn yankee scented candles inside. They smell amazing and really bring the fall theme together. Also put vaseline on the exposed parts of the pumpkin to keep them from browning. I dont believe you do this on the whole inside just the carved parts. Instead of pew bows we have bunched wheat with ribbons. It looks so neat. Fun fall favors are little baby pumpkins for the kids and carmel apples(we found on martha stewarts website). We have silk fall leaves scattered on the tables along with garlands of leaves with lights entwined in them(to give a warm glow). These are just a few of the many ideas we have so far. The beauty of a fall wedding is that the ideas are endless. It really can be a romantic elegant evening. I would love to hear more of your ideas.

If you need a lot of pumpkins to carve hearts into, make sure you "book them" with a local farmer in advance. As to carving, I bet they will keep well if you line them with saran wrap after carving & refrigerate them---does the church have a large fridge? Would a local school let you use theirs during the weekend (and could you get in to pick them up)? Watch out for candle flames burning the "hats" of the pumpkins!

I think the expresso and the burnt orange is a very good idea myself,,,, The ivory would look really good see white dosent work well with those colors so your dress would match better using the color ivory! Hope this helps good luck!!!!!!!

Hi I am getting married on Oct7th, 2006. I will be wearing Ivory, each bridesmaid and MOH are wearing a different color... Burnt orange, red, olive green, and gold. The flower girl is wearing ivory. I am having alot of leaves, ivory tulle and lights. Scattered on the table will be leaves and leaf shaped confetti. I was going to spray paint pumpkins gold for the centerpieces, or i might have mini apple crates filled with apples. In one corner, due to the fact that i live in canada and the weather may not cooperate that day, i will have a park bench with trees, leaves, some hay, pumpkins.. Just in case we need to get pictures taken inside. We are having a turkey "thanksgiving" dinner. I wanted to make caramel apples for favors, but due to the fact that i live in one province and am getting married in my home province, i wont really have the time to make them, so I decided to go with truffles, wrapped in ivory tulle, with fall colored ribbons on them. Also, the napkins are going to be the 4 different colors the girls are wearing..... If anyone has any ideas, or any opinion on my ideas, i would LOVE to hear it!! We are on a budget so if you have some "cheap" ideas it would be great!!! Thanks ! Congratulations and good luck to everyone!!!

I am also planning a fall wedding, October 14, 2006. It is an evening formal wedding. My guests will be greated by pumkins carved or stenciled with our new monogram on them. The brides maids and attendents will all be wearing black and so will all my guests if I can get them to. Flowers are 3 different colors of orange roses, berries, greens, orange calas, and some black magic roses (the only color in the cerimony other than my ivory and gold wedding gown) These colors will complement the church wonderfully. The reception will be held on a lake with lots of candle light and the setting sun. The tables will be adorned with ivory linen, centerpieces of hand blowned glass pedistals with pillar candles, gords and leaves. We will be using jack be littles dusted with gold paint for the place card holders. The food station (all heavy horsdourves) will be covered with ivory linen, gold lame, and fall leaves. Carrot Cake, Warm Cider, family and friends what more could you ask for on your wedding day. The wedding favors will be terra cotta maple leaves. I am sure I will come up with more by the time the wedding arrives. I am just wishing the summer away to get to my wedding day. Hope you are all enjoying your wedding planning.

Congrats to all planning a fall wedding. My favorite time of year.
I am planning an October 14th wedding. The weather.com says that the weather will be 72 and a slight chace of rain. Not bad for the formal evening wedding planned.
We will get married at 5:00pm in a beautiful church that complement the wedding colors perfectly. I will be wearing ivory with gold accents with the entire wedding party wearing black. The flowers will consist of orange calas, orange roses, circus rose, a varagated orange rose, black magic roses, berries and greens, the only colors in the cerimony. Our guests will be welomed by large pumpkins at the doors that will be carved or stenciled with our monogram (I am praying that they start growing soon). The reception will start at sunset on the lake. The heavy horsdourve menu is set up to start the party right away. I do not want to waist 2 hours of the party by waiting for everyone to eat. (I plan events for a livingand there is nothing worse than taking a great deal of time to be served. Place card holders will be gold dusted jack be littles adorned with ribbon. Tables will be covered with ivory, fall leaves, then gold lame for a very seer and elegant feel. The Center pieces will be hande blown glass pedistals with pillar candles, there will be gords, leaves, and berries under the pillars. The room will be aglow with as many votives as I can find room for. My guests gifts will be a terra cotta maple leaf engraved with our names and date on them. Many mor finishing touches to come.
Good luck planning your special day.

I`m getting married Oct 2006. I, too, am going with pumpkin centerpieces, and came up with a cool idea to avoid the whole "carve the pumpkin" trauma. I`ve decided to use styrofoam pumpkins, hollow out the middle, and fill them with fresh floral arrangements (silk would work too). That was they won`t rot, burn, etc and can be enjoyed again.
