Quincenera PRoBLEM!!!

What have you done already? Have you started anything yet. My daughter`s Quincenera is in Feb 2003.
I have everything ready for her. If you would like some info what I have done for her, let me know.

Um i think thats all u need and if u want damas and escorts ur gonna have to come up with dance steps and ur gonna have to dance the waltz with ur dad
Here are some songs that i`m using for my quinceanera: el vals de las mariposas, la ultima muneca, quinceanera (los barones), and of cousre ur gonna have to dance to some cumbias and thats only if u want to but u do have to dance with ur dad a waltz at the reception. I also have a Quinceneras problem. My mother has never planned a Quinceneras party or even been to one. She thinks that only Cubans celebrate their Quinceneras and only Americans celebrate their Sweet Sixteens. She says that where we come from we celebrate our eighteens, which is completely obsurd. I`m from Chile some part in South America and a lot of my friends are going to have either their fifteens or sixteens, and its not even about that, I`ve been researching about this and I`m really interested I even start to cry because it`s such a beautiful ceremony I will never get to expirience. I`ve tried telling her that I really want my Quinceneras but she tells me that the only reason I want it is because my best friend is having her. Maybe your mom is thinking only about the COST! i have to admit that it could get pretty expensive but try explaining it to her the way you wrote about it. Point out the real reasons you want it! hopefully she`ll listen!

First make arrangements with the church and banquet room. 2nd look for a dress and decide if you are to have escorts. You don`t have to invite the parents of your friends in your celebration unless they are good friends with your parents. You should first invite your immediate family. Once you have jotted down the family list then you can work on your friend list. Remember invite people that have been a part of your life don`t invite people because you have to.

I think you should invite the parents of your friends that are in your court. Another thing, make sure that at the practices your having, the people in your court don`t knock off that much. Also make sure that everyone attends at least a couple of practices. I stood in a Quinceanera and the march was terrible! Some people didn`t even know what to do. I hope every thing goes as planned for you. I hope I was of some help.

Why would it be only fair to invite family members?!? If you have friends in your court of course you should invite they`re parents. Say some ppl don`t have a ride...who takes them?? They`re parents. Say some ppl don`t have the money for the suits or dresses....who pays it?? They`re parents. You`re friends parents have alot of input in it and it`s only fair to invite them to your party. I did at least.

Mija, yes you should invite the parents. Just give one invite to each family. That is just being polite. Let`s just hope they don`t all show up. Hee Hee Good luck

Hey girl I am planning my 15er too! Mine is on May 15th and of course you have to invite the parents because they are the ones letting your damas and chambelans be in it. YOu invite anyone who is important.

Of course u inviate the parents and family u give max of 3 invivates the each person to give to there family or friends. I had my 15nera in march of 2001. About 5 years ago and it was the most wounderful thing ever. My niece is having hers in June of this year i get to teach her the vals. Anyways pick ur favorite color or the color of ur month to go with the dresses of ur damas ur dress would look nice if white with the colored flowers. What esle would u like to know?
